The kitchen is a mix of shop bought units and bespoke joinery. Before fitting the kitchen we had to remove a wall and drop the ceiling and have the room re-skimmed. We wanted to move away from a conventional looking kitchen and avoid having wall-hung cupboards, rather opting for simple shelving with an open feel.  The bespoke shelving and units were made with a mixture of solid and veneered oak.
